Artist Update

“Sandstorm,” an encaustic painting was excepted into the regional FCCA show in April 2014:

S. Rhone-Kubarek had taken a pottery class with Neal Reed at Liberty Town Gallery and Workshops in March of 2010 and felt the need of a refresher course in March 2014.  She enjoyed making pots and repeating the class, but it is a skill that needs a lot practice and may require repeating yet again.

S. Rhone-Kubarek had a piece accepted into the March 2014 “Form and Space” show:

February 2014 – The following picture was from a line of fellow tourists some where in the Indian Ocean.  The line of sari’s was beautiful.  “Stay in Line” is mixed medium.  It was first drawn in black printing ink on copper sheets adhered to a board.  Many layers were added and sanded down. The following pictures were juried into the FCCA Dec/Jan show, “It’s Small”:

Sally and Bob flew to Toronto, then Vancouver, and then on to Sidney Australia.  They spent 4 days in Sidney before boarding The “Ocean Princess.” They then spent 50 days sailing to 20 different ports.  Passing through the southern Pacific, Indian Ocean, Bay of Oman, the Suez Canal and into the Mediterranean.  Finally disembarking in… View more

“Repose,” by Rhone-Kubarek was juried into this show:

Rhone-Kubarek was asked to create a “repurposed book,” using collage.  The plan was to teach a future class using it as a model.  “Circadian Weave,” was thus created and juried into the books show in February.  Following are pictures of 4 different sections of the book:
