Artist Update

AIR, the final print in the Four Elements series 

Early in the  1980’s I read an article on the “Four Elements” and their long history in western thought.  I became interested and spent time in various libraries trying to get more information.  From my notes a drawing for “Fire” began to take shape and it was the first print finished in 1984.  “Water” came next and finally “Earth” was completed in 1991.  And then things came to a halt.  For various reasons I really had a hard time picturing “Air.”  I have a stack of drawings, done through the years, but nothing that seemed right.  A few months ago I picked them up and began again.  Now using the internet for research.  Thus, I am very happy to say, I have now, after all these years, finished “Air.”
